Heavenly Father,

This week my heart is heavy. The weight on my heart these days involves some of your greatest creations, your children. I am thinking about and praying for all young people. I’m praying that your Holy Spirit would be powerfully present in their lives. I’m praying that your Holy Spirit would bring direction and meaning and purpose to their lives. I’m praying for their parents and grandparents and all who love them that your Holy Spirit would guide and direct them as well. I’m praying for peace of heart and mind.

I thank you Lord for my days of growing up. I thank you Lord for care leading me through those days. I thank you Lord for the young people in my own heart and life. And I thank you Lord for your constant faith and abiding love in us all.

Into your hands gracious Father I deliver those for whom I pray. Amen.
